Hattie Lee Raines and Alton Dawson were married on September 15th, 1951, and out of this union are two sons and three daughters. Hattie was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to 5 generations. She was a seamstress by trade and loved quilting and passing her know how on to some of her grand children. She had a heart for community and service. She was a member of the love club where she served faithfully.
On Thursday, June 11, 2026 she departed her earthly home. She was preceded in death by: Dorothy Mae Walker (Mike), Betty Ann Dawson Gray, Lillie Bell Raines, Curtis Raines, Wilson Raines Jr, Catherine Ivey, Ellena Dainley, Mattie C Howell, Moses Raines, Rufus Raines, L.C Raines and Willie James Raines ; Scotty Bernard Dawson, Anthony DeAndre Colquitt; Children: Doris Sue Holloway (Ronnie) of Thomaston Ga, Leroy Dawson (Denise) of L.A. California, John Alton Dawson (Mary) of Thomaston GA; She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and servitude. Her wise words and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves to cherish her memory; Siblings: George Raines (Elinda) of Michigan, Fannie Mae Raines (Horace Sr) of Salem community; Grand Children: Twanya Denese Kelso ( Pastor Barry Kelso), Reginald Darnell Dawson, Patrina Mishelle Dawson, Cassandra T Colquitt, Leroy Dawson Jr, Jonai Sheree Dawson, David Dawson, Janese Sharday Dawson, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
